Completed UFO's
Completed UFO's 2008

One of the goals that I decided on this year, was that I want to finish up the majority of my UFO's this year. My UFO's consist of finished tops and sets of block swaps. Some of the swaps the blocks are from 10 yrs ago - time to get them finished! I'll be adding pictures of my UFO's as I finish them this year to this webpage.

Falling Leaves
November 2008 - This quilt used up the remaining blocks from same swap that the Punkins and Leaves were made from. For the moment it's displayed till time to put up my Christmas quilt. I'm may end up giving it as a gift to someone eventually.

Punkins and Leaves
August 2008 - This quilt used up the remaining blocks from two different swaps. By themselves I wasn't that fond of the blocks, but together in this quilt everything works and it looks good. It will be going to a friend who saw a picture of the finished quilt top and loved it. She doesn't know it's coming so I can't wait to hear what she says when she gets it.

Patriotic Star Sampler#2
July 2008 - This quilt will be going to American Hero Quilts . I pieced the top with the remaining 9 blocks from the patriotic stars swap. The rows of blocks were alternated with string-pieced strips.

Patriotic Star Sampler #2
July 2008 - This quilt will be going to American Hero Quilts . I pieced the top with 12 of the remaining blocks from the patriotic stars swap.

Patriotic Star Sampler
July 2008 - This quilt is for me and is made from some of the patriotic stars I received in a swap with online friends several years ago. It is one of a series of quilts that I'm making myself to have to display for the seasons and holidays.

Bluework Snails
July 2008 - I made the bluework blocks in this quilt from a set of antique patterns that I bought on ebay. One of the days of the week was missing so there are only 6 days in this quilt. I used scraps to make the alternate 16-patch blocks. It was professionally quilted by a friend and is mine. A closeup picture of one of the snails are below.

Embroidered Cats
This quilt is for me (I think anyway), and the blocks were some that I embroidered in various pastel shades of floss. I used various pieces of 30's prints for the sashings and borders. Picture and a closeup of one of the cats are below.

Bearpaws for Baby
This quilt was made from a set of bear paw blocks made mostly from purple plaids. The quilt will be a baby shower gift for a friend in the church I attend here in TX.

Bearpaws for Baby
Both quilts were made from a set of bear paw blocks made mostly from assorted color plaids. They will be going to Sunshine and then will be going to a child somewhere.

Coffee Cup & Pitcher Wallhanging
This wallhanging was made as a result of taking a class from Esterita Austin in 2003. The tablecloth is 3-D, with folds and the bottom loose over the 'frame' as if it were draped over a table that can't be seen. I haven't decided what to do with it yet.

African Animals Quilt
This quilt was made from a small piece of fabric that had african animals pictured on it. I did a stack n'whack type of block from 2 sizes of squares and 1 size of strips. This quilt will be donated to American Heroes for a child that has lost a parent in the war.

Music Quilt
This quilt was made from some of the music prints that I'd collected over the years. This quilt was donated to American Heros for a child that has lost a parent in the war.

Laurel Birch Quilt
This quilt was made from swap blocks from a swap where we used only fabrics of one of Laurel Birch's fabric lines and black kona cotton. It will end up as a gift for someone in the future.

Batik Stars Quilt
This quilt was made from swap blocks from two different swaps. It will end up as a gift for someone in the future.

Floating 30's Four-Patch Quilt
This quilt was made from some of the scraps of thirties prints. This quilt was donated to American Heros for a child that has lost a parent in the war.

Balloons Quilt
This quilt was made from some blocks that had been sent to me by a friend. It will probably end up as a baby gift for someone.

Chicken Wallhanging
This quilt was made from some of the blocks I received in a long ago swap of chicken blocks. This is for me.

Dogwood Tablerunner
This tablerunner was made from a bag of scraps that a friend had given me one year for christmas. I've given this to my best friend's mom for a house warming gift after she moved to be closer to my friend this year.

Snail Fav Fabric lap quilt
This quilt was made from the blocks that I received in a Fav Fabric swap several years ago. It will either go to charity or be used as a gift.

String Hearts Lap Quilt
This hearts in this quilt were made from scraps that a friend gave me. This quilt was donated to American Heros for a child that has lost a parent in the war..
